Thank You for taking the time to read this. We believe that one of the best ways to get to know someone is to know their purpose, or as many would say their mission. We have two missions, one as a business and one as a website.

Our Mission as a Business is to be the preeminent Plant and Floral Studio in Long Beach, California. We specialize in small patio and interior plant compositions and care. Meaning that if you want to give your small patio more “curb appeal,” we will consult, provide, and care for your plant compositions. Also if you would like to provide a unique, “Green Aesthetic,” to your Home, Office, or Business we would love to assist you. We know that people are busy, too busy to take care of a plant, sure at times? You may be saying wait a second all I have to do is water my plant and go. Not if you’re using tap water in Long Beach and the surrounding areas, waters that are fortified with calcium, floride, and other chemicals maybe and more than likely will be detrimental to your plants, especially indoor plants. At TajAthO’s Garden we use filtered rain water if we have a good rain season or charcoal filtered water fortified with our own nutrients, to make sure your plants are happy and healthy. And since we are local we’re just around the corner for any of your plant’s needs. We service homes, businesses, and offices in Long Beach, Lakewood, Compton, Bellflower, and San Pedro.

Plants not only add to the aesthetic, they are thought to make us happier and healthier. They are thought to relieve anxiety and stress, they can fine tune attention, assist in the healing process, increase happiness and satisfaction, and they might make you more productive. As a home owner, professional, business, or office you may want all those attributes for all the environments you exist in, we help you to do that. If it’s a lemon tree on your patio or a jade plant in your business to attract abundance we will provide the plant, tree, or floral arrangement and take care of them for you, in the interim as well as the lasting. No one wants to walk into a home, business, or office and see a dying plant. What would that say about the home, the business or the office?

Again what makes us unique is that we are exclusive to Long Beach, California and surrounding areas. By being local and exclusive we are never too far from our studio, which allows us to use “Gaia Principles” in the planting, growing, and sustaining of our inventory and practices. Meaning our carbon footprint is low, in planting, growing, and sustainability. So you may be asking what other areas do we serve besides Long Beach, California. Those would be Lakewood, Compton, Carson, Bellflower, and San Pedro. I know we just repeated ourselves, we just wanted to make sure you were paying attention.

The easiest way to get to know us is contact us here, for a consultation and although we currently don’t have the technology to 3D render a project. By being neighbors we think that it’s better to meet in person. For example we’ll ask what “aesthetic” you lean toward. Are looking for your patio to be exposed or private? What’s the best plant to have behind me in a Zoom call? We have answers to all of those questions and more. Would you like for us to seasonally change out plants for different looks and aesthetics? Do you have kids or pets? We are diligent, open, and flexible to your needs. Then once a week we will come to you and care for your plants, patio, or floral arrangement. We will water, dust, position, and fertilize if need be. We will also offer taking your plants back to our studio to care for them if and when you have to go out of town. We also offer repotting, propagating, and pruning services.

Our other basic plan includes all of the above plus fresh cut flower arrangements delivered to your home or business, (this is especially popular if you entertaining for the weekend or if you’re a business that likes to show off a little on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, when you’re at your busiest, did we mention the holidays?) We like to call our flower arrangements Ike-Boho, an influence of the Japanese Ikebana flower arrangements with some Bohemian influence thrown in. We hope to hear from you soon. As a website our mission is to share tips, hacks, and ideas about planting and gardening. Our founder Tabala Jali Thomas spent several years working for big box stores in the garden department and also as a plant and floral merchandiser, as well as an assistant to one of L.A.’s premier floral studios. Also his Grandmother taught him how to garden, so this pretty much makes him an expert. All jokes aside his mantra is, “If there is growth there is possibility, if there is growth there is potential.” One of the things that bothered him the most was how willingly the box stores would rather throw away plants, flowers, vegetables, seeds, etc. Without even allowing their employees to buy them at a discount. He vowed to teach people how to take care of plants so that they can become heirlooms and how to garden in an urban setting no matter how big or small your space.
