The China Doll Plant

This plant grows and looks like a tree from the get go so this plant is a wonderful addition to your in door plant collection, or the start of one. This plant is native to South East Asia so it doesn’t like temperatures below sixty-five degrees Fahrenheit, nor does this plant like drafts. So we recommend that you keep the plant by an east facing window with filtered light. Water moderately, once to twice a week during the summer and once during the winter. Make sure the soil is well draining and no direct light. Once you find a place for it resist moving it at all costs. This plant will tend to drop leaves once it acclimated to it environment.

Do not be afraid to prune this plant, and shape it to the aesthetic that you would like and you can propagate this plant easily from cuttings. Of course if you live in Long Beach you can contact us and we will do this for you.

The so called China Doll plant is nontoxic to people, cats, and dogs and is said to represent life and prosperity in some Feng Shui circles. So this plant will be a welcome addition to you home.

You may have to repot this plant after an extended period of time we suggest that you rinse the old soil off before placing it into a new one, the China Doll plant has a tendency to produce salt in its soil and this can brown the leaves after a while. However that isn’t something that you are going to have to worry about anytime soon.

The moss and the rocks should be misted every other day to produce humidity and to feed the moss. Again indirect light, maintain the temperature, you can let it come close to drying out but don’t let it do so.
