Arrowhead Plants Protectors & Healers

If you are reading this then you are probably at Black Ring Coffee and we thank you for supporting them and by extension supporting us. We love the so called Arrowhead Plant however these aren’t from the same family but in different circles both are called arrowhead plants, why because the leaves look like arrows, for the purpose of this blog we will group them together for the simple fact that they have very similar care protocol.

Both plants are easy to take care of, the biggest mistake is overwatering, so the best thing to do is to let the plants dry out in between waterings, and then after that water them sparingly, once a week in the winter and then twice a week in the summer. Purified water is preferred, avoid tap water at all costs. These plants may go through growth spurts just before winter and just after spring, the best time to fertilize and repot will be just after winter.

They love humidity and one of the best ways to do that is to place them around other plants that also love indirect light. What we like to do is after we boil a big pot of water for tea and then pour the hot water into a bowl and place them around our humidity loving plants.

Again the best place for them is in low to indirect light, you can use stakes or vines to prop them up when necessary. We like to use dry wisteria vines.

The Arrowhead Plants essential properties are thought to be protection, healing, courage, and strength. Try to place them in a place where they thrive and where you meditate, sleep, or pray. In our opinion they make an excellent gift for those who want to transfer from trauma to understanding. The are thought to be good bridges to vacillate transformation.
