Blue Star Fern………Unique, Stylish, Promising.

If you are reading this because you are a follower or at one of the places we service or sell our plants thank you. What you are looking at or may have in your hand will be a wonderful addition to where ever you place it. Let us give you some suggestion as to where.

The Blue Star Fern unlike other ferns doesn’t crave as much humidity as others. The Blue Star Fern likes moist soil but make sure that you don’t overwater it nor let it dry out in between waterings. The Blue Star Fern will grow well in containers but if you’d like it to grow tall you will have to change the size of the pot as they grow by creeping rhizomes. This plant is native to North and South America, however it doesn’t do well in direct sunlight. Make sure you place them in bright indirect sunlight with a warm location.

Make sure the soil is loose and you actually don’t have to use too much of it, you can even grow this plant in orchid bark if you’d like since this plant in their natural habitat is epiphytic. There it grows up vines and trees. Which is why if placed among other plants or close to, they’ll feel right at home. Make sure the room temperature doesn’t fall below 55 degrees these plants do not do well in the cold. You don’t have to fertilize this plant too often but if and when you do use a diluted balanced ferterlizer.

Ferns in some mystic circles are thought to protect their companions from negative energies, and are thought to be great assistants in helping with self-awareness and intuition, elevating both to a higher level.

If you maintain the moisture as well as the relative humidity you should have very few problems. If you have a pebble tray or humidifier they won’t complain. If you have any more questions please follow us here.
